Project Type
: Renovation
Design, Supply & Install by Sheridan Interiors Inc.

What started out as ‘just a kitchen’ renovation morphed into a whole main floor reno.  The client’s wish to have an open concept kitchen decided the rest.  The original kitchen had oak cabinetry that eventually got painted a soft cottage yellow, by the previous owner.  Unfortunately the paint job was looking a little tired as the previous owner had tried ‘distressing’ the finish.  Suffice to say that this client lived with it while the kids were still young and they most definitely got their mileage out of it.  The client also felt left out of their gatherings while in the kitchen preparing food stuff for family and guests.  Because the space was closed off from the rest of the house it was also a bit cramped, as everyone gathered in the kitchen.
